Verify your identity as a new user

When an administrator has added you, you will receive an email from noreply@val.se with the subject line “Verify your contact details in Valid”. This email contains your username, which you need to log in.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Open the email and click on the verification link.
  2. Request a verification code by SMS?.
  3. Choose a password containing at least 16 characters. It must include both small and capital letters, and at least one digit or special character.
  4. Inform your contact at the Swedish Embassy when you have finished. Then you can be granted the correct authorisation to carry out your tasks.

Keep your password secure. You may need it if your eID doesn’t work.

Here’s how to log in to Valid

When your authorisation has been confirmed, you can log in to Valid and start working.

If you have a Swedish personal identity number:

  1. Go to valid.val.se
  2. Enter your username (stated in the verification email)
  3. Log in using one of the following types of eID: BankID or Mobile BankID, Freja eID Plus or AB Svenska Pass.

If you do not have a Swedish personal identity number or an approved eID:

  1. Go to valid.val.se
  2. Enter your username (stated in the verification email)
  3. Enter your saved password (16 characters)
  4. Enter the temporary password sent by text message to your registered phone number
